Grassy Garden Goodness
Why Miscanthus Bandwidth?
With its multi-colored, visual interest, the Miscanthus Bandwidth, also known as Chinese Silver Grass, is an easy-to-maintain, perennial dwarf grass that can be used to spruce up rock gardens, mixed flower beds, and other kinds of decorative, outdoor installations.
This ornamental grass is revered for its unique gold bands that cut across green leaf blades, making it a striking statement among traditional landscape settings. In the fall, golden brown plumes top the foliage and persist into winter for non-stop enjoyment throughout the seasons.
If you live in drought-prone areas, fear not! Miscanthus Bandwidth is resilient, rust-resistant, and a strong grower in a variety of conditions. Add to small gardens, borders, beds, and containers, or plant in clumps to fill out larger landscapes.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant in an area with full sun (6-8 hours of sunlight per day). Select a location with well-drained soil and dig a hole that’s large enough to accommodate your plant’s root ball.
After you’ve planted, mulch the surrounding area and water to settle the roots.
2. Watering: Water weekly, or more often in extreme heat or drought. If you plant your grass in containers, you’ll also want to water more frequently. Check the soil and water when soil is dry to the touch two inches down.
3. Pruning: Prune your grass down to the ground in late winter, just before new growth appears.
