Planting & Care
1. Planting: Find a spot with full sun and partial shade. Because the Little Zebra Miscanthus is incredibly hardy, you can plant it in virtually any soil type. It will do best, however, in well-drained soil and is adaptable to a wide range of conditions. Dig a hole that’s large enough to accommodate your Grass’s root ball. After you’ve planted, mulch the surrounding area and water to settle the roots.
2. Watering: Water weekly, or more often in extreme heat or drought. If you plant your Little Zebra Grass in containers, you’ll also want to water more frequently. Check the soil and water when the soil is dry to the touch two inches down.
3. Pruning: Prune back to about six inches in late winter or early spring to help prepare for the abundance of new spring growth.
